Never experienced the delicious aroma of African Cuisine? Spend a night or two with my family in West Jacksonville Florida. Clean, self contained-accommodation downstairs with a great family. Come on over to my place and experience something different at an affordable price. Meals cost less than you would purchase outside ( breakfast, lunch, and dinner available upon request during weekends). Close to the Orange Park Mall, I-295 and 95 and many restaurants around to select from.
Space
1 bedroom, with one queen size bed. Bathroom and bathtub all to yourself. Clean and cozy. pond view.
Guest access:
You will have access to your bedroom, and full bathroom. The kitchen is available for light cooking. Make yourself at home. Unique door code will be given if the guest arrives when we are not home.

Neighborhood overview
Great, quiet and safe neighborhood. You will love it. Take a walk and enjoy many ponds and geese who can assure you they own the streets as they take their slow strides from street to street.
Getting around
5-8 minutes walk to the bus station. Uber also available.
Other things to note
Guest is welcome to enjoy some of my African cuisines or eat out. The dining table is available for guests to bring in meals and enjoy. There is a $7/ day/ plate _optional)charge for light continental breakfast ( waffles or pancakes, grits, with sausage/ or bacon and plain/scrambled or vegetable eggs. Coffee and orange juice available. $7 for lunch and $7 for dinner (this is an option. I would like to make this as convenient for you as possible.

House Rules
** Dear Guests, I look forward to making this an exciting experience. Payment for homestay is due immediately ( within 24hours) when booking is confirmed in order to reserve the dates and prior to arrival. Guests who have not made payment cannot have the dates blocked after 24 hours of non payment. Zelle, Cash app, Square and others + applicable fees.
** Guests can cancel within 24 hours of booking for a full refund. Please note that I cannot block dates for guests who reserve way in advance then change their minds when close to reserved dates. This deprives other guests the opportunity to make reservations.
** If guests change their minds after 24 hours a 50 % refund will be given for bookings done 14 days or more in advance.
** If guests change their minds within 7 days prior to arrival, after the 24 hours window, no refund will be given.
** If guest confirms a booking where arrival is within 24 hours, but cancels, no refund will be given.
**For homestay needed within 24 hours, please contact me before making a reservation and at least 2 and 1/2hours prior to arrival. This is to ensure I have everything in guest room in place, ready for you.
You are welcome to eat with us, share your stories and create long lasting friendship and memories with us. Guests will have access to kitchen and kitchen appliances.

10. A donation of $3/ laundry load ( Wash and Dry) will be appreciated.

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) and a 25% deposit using a choice of payments: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal. The deposit is collected in advance on behalf of the host to protect against no show or late cancellations (within 7 days of arrival). You then pay your host the balance due on arrival. The 25% deposit payment is made to the host 2 business days after your scheduled arrival date. This deposit payment will only be refunded if you cancel the booking at least 7 full days prior to arrival.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
