Our family lives in the city. We have a 16 year old boy, who is a Junior in high school at Malden Catholic, and a boy we host from China that is a Freshman in Malden Catholic school. My husband, myself and a dog. We live 15 minutes from public transportation walking and 5 minute drive by car. We have a large dining room where I like to have dinner. We have a basketball hoop to play basketball, and a pool for the summer. We live in a very lovely neighborhood, a very nice neighborhood where neighbors watch out for everyone and are very nice and love meeting the students. I own a 3 bedroom home, and a lovely family room. The family room is the room where we have a bathroom/shower, a refrigerator, a microwave and a toaster, a closet, and a dresser. We have two twin beds so are able to host 2 students if they so desire to be together. I don't know much about Homestay and would like to learn more. I don't even know if you offer to host students or adults. I also have a washer/dryer right off the family room that the student or person would live.

About the Area
My home is located off of upper Highland Avenue. We have two public transportations which are Malden Center and Oak Grove public transportation. We are 5 minutes from Rte. 93 and by car only 5 minutes to the above named public transporations. By foot, 15 minutes walk. The airport is approximately 20 minutes away by car. The bus stop is only 2 minutes at the beginning of our street. The public transporation takes only approximately 15 minutes or 20 minutes depending, to get to Boston. We have Malden Center which has restaurants/bars.

House Rules
If I am hosting a student, depending on the age there would be a time limit, and basically just picking up after themselves, e.g. throwing the spread on the bed before leaving the home and picking up in the bathroom. They would be responsible for locking the front door when entering or leaving the house. Also, keep noise to a minimum, especially during the work week. My husband gets up very early for work, so it's necessary that he gets sleep. No strangers would be invited in our home as I do have young children living here. I would like to know in advance if you plan on a guest to visit. I would like for you to enjoy living in our home and more importantly, to feel like you are at home.

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
