The Space is a completely private attached guest suite in a 1907 shot-gun house and has a private entrance through the garden. The suite is about 300 square feet and is equipped with a stocked kitchenette with mini-fridge, microwave, and toaster oven. It has an ensuite full bathroom with an old clawfoot tub. The room is full of light but each door and window has louvered shutters so that the room can be darkened. The room has a very comfortable king-size bed and is also equipped with a wall-mount tv that you can log into your streaming service. There is a small closet and a table that can double as a desk. There is an Eames lounge chair and two cane-backed chairs. There is also a shared laundry room on-site. The pool is a 40' long lap pool with two narrow lanes and is salt-water. There is also a jacuzzi.

Holy Cross Guest Suite with a salt water lap pool, jacuzzi, and garden; it's just a block-and-a-half from the Mississippi River levee park with best sunset views of New Orleans. Sit on the wrap around porch in a rocking chair and look out over the pool. Or enjoy the a/c or heat and high speed wifi (500Mbps) to get your work done. Relax in an Eames lounge chair and catch up on your reading. Take a jog along the river or do laps to stay in shape. The perfect getaway or remote work spot.

About the Area

Holy Cross Neighborhood is a very quiet residential neighborhood just across the canal from Bywater and about 2 miles downriver from the French Quarter. The neighborhood is named after the old and now abandoned Holy Cross School, which was built in 1849 and is located just across the street from our property. (See photos). The Levee Park is the crowning jewel of the neighborhood as it has the best sunset views in the entire city. There are benches scattered along the river and there is even a set of swings. Another famous landmark in the neighborhood is the Doullut Steamboat house (see photo). It's the place to be when the sun begins to fall: revealers from around the city come to picnic at sunset; and even in the summer, there is usually a cool breeze that makes watching the sunset on the levee a year round activity.

The Neighborhood
- Please be safe!
The Holy Cross neighborhood can appear deceptively safe; but nowhere in New Orleans is safe from crime. It’s best not to walk alone at night: take a cab, Uber, or Lyft. If you must walk home at night, be aware of your surroundings: stick to well-lit busy streets; walk in the middle of the street, instead of the sidewalk; watch out for dark figures lurking in the shadows. If you see some sketchy people up ahead, take a different
