My name is Hilary. I'm a traveler at heart. Therefore, I strive to provide for my guests the comfortable, secure, well-situated space that I appreciate when I'm on the road. When staying with me you'll have a private room, a cozy and comfortable bed, good pillows, reading lamps, a place to hang your clothes, a lock on your door, and wifi.
An Eastcoaster both by birth and inclination, I love to entertain, converse, and keep everything neat and tidy (which, let me tell you, is not easy!). I strive always to optimize your experience in my home. Need a fluffier pillow or a shoulder to cry on? I'm your go-to-girl. Want to sit down with a pleasant conversationalist over a cup of coffee or a glass of wine? That's my favorite activity! Want to be left to your own devices while you're staying with me? I've got your back.
Believe it or not, The household's fairly quiet except, sometimes, between the hours of 4pm and 11pm. I love sleep and prioritize yours as well. As for privacy, the door to your room has a key lock.

Located in Portland's central east side, the RestWell is a clean, private, second-floor space overlooking a verdant garden. This quiet room (en suite) is perfect for guests seeking clean, comfortable privacy in the best part of town. The house is close to shops, cafes, bars, restaurants, bike paths, farmers' markets, downtown, and other delights. Public transport is just moments away. Free and abundant street parking always available.

Hosts can offer a complimentary light breakfast at their discretion. All other meals, including a full breakfast, might incur an additional cost, if offered. Meals and any additional payment should be arranged directly with your host.

Please let me know immediately if you have an issue with your accommodations.
In the kitchen you will find a tea/coffee station and a microwave for guest use. Please feel free to put a few items in the fridge too. The stove and oven can be used as well, but please check in with Hilary beforehand. Finally, please note that the kitchen is an active work space that is shared with myself and my other guests. It can be somewhat messy during the day time. Like a normal kitchen.
Don't break stuff, steal stuff, or generally disrespect us. We promise we won't do that to you either.
No weapons of any kind on the premises.
Smoking and vaping allowed in all outside areas of the property, but please, no smoking indoors.

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
