A place to stay with locals while you visit San Diego: Imperial Beach is a small town with good vibes & great waves. Close by are two sustainable working farms, trails for running/biking, yoga, the US/Mexico border and world-class Brazilian JiuJitsu.
Our home is comfortable, functional, and clean. We have two guest rooms and a shared full bathroom. We have a focus on sustainability throughout the household; examples include washable hand towels (instead of paper towels), a food-scrap composting system, a low-waste environment (we accumulate very little trash), and permaculture-style gardening. We grow, prepare, and cook most of our own food. We rarely use plastic. Our communal kitchen and large/open front room (great for yoga and BJJ) are perfect places to spend your down time. We have a couple of decks, hammocks, a fire pit, and a pizza oven in the backyard. The front yard is our home garden:)

Our friendly home is located only blocks away from two of San Diego's amazing organic and sustainable farms (Wild Willow and Suzie's). We are also super close to an enchanted maze of trails great for walking, running, biking, birdwatching, or horseback riding. We are a few miles from Imperial Beach, a small town with great waves and good vibes, and close to the scenic US/Mexico border.
BJJ Gyms within 10 miles: Clube de Jiu Jitsu PitBull, Odin BJJ, Carlson Gracie National City BJJ, Honu BJJ, Alliance BJJ Eastlake, Strong Base BJJ, Gracie South Bay BJJ, The Stronghold BJJ Eastlake. Most other jiu jitsu gyms are within 30 minutes!

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
