About the Homestay
My daughter, and I live in a comfortable family 3 bedroom condo. The room has a comfortable queen bed.
We have a large living room where we mostly hang out, surf the internet or watch movies. There is also a small patio to lounge on and enjoy the fresh air. We have no dogs or cats But we do have fish and a bunny (outside).
We live near public transportation so it is easy to get around from our place.
My daughter plays sports and I like to hike and spend time with friends. I speak Spanish fluently.

About the Area
We live in a family neighborhood with hiking trails and parks near by.
The beach is an easy 15 minute drive. Shopping malls are 30 minutes away as well as many tourist attractions (the farthest being about 1 hour away)
We have a few restaurants within walking distance. The bus stop is right outside out complex which makes it easy to get around

•Be respectful and courteous to others
•You may use all common areas as desired (kitchen, bathroom, living room, office, laundry)
•Clean up after yourself, you are required to wash your own dishes and clean after yourself
•Keep bedroom clean and help to keep the bathroom clean
•No food/beverages are allowed in the bedroom (water in a lid container is OK)
•No loud noises allowed after 8pm on school nights
•No visitors are allowed
•If you are drunk you should not come home until you feel better because there is a young girl in the home
•If you repeatedly return home at very late hours you must be very respectful of the others in the home, as they get up early for school and work
•You are responsible to fix anything that you break
•If you lose the house key, you are responsible for replacing the key and changing the locks in the home at YOUR EXPENSE
•You should always lock the door when you go in or out
•Turn off lights whenever you leave a room, if someone else left them on, still we should always turn them off to be courteous

I enjoyed my stay with Rose in San Marcos a lot! Rose is such a welcoming, helpful and kind host, you can definitely feel at home right away! I recommend everybody who looks for a room in a great and safe area to stay with her. The usage of the kitchen and access to the pool is a great feature, too. Roses house is located close to grocery stores and restaurants and the beach is not far from her house either! There is a bus route for CalState San Marcos students and the bus stop is located really close to the house. I'll definitely stay there whenever I'm around the area again! It was a great experience!
Rose is very nice, friendly and family oriented. She made me feel welcome and I had a wonderful nights sleep. Everything in her home was clean and comfortable.
How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 199 $£€ for longer term bookings) and a 25% deposit using a choice of payments: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal. The deposit is collected in advance on behalf of the host to protect against no show or late cancellations (within 7 days of arrival). You then pay your host the balance due on arrival. The 25% deposit payment is made to the host 2 business days after your scheduled arrival date. This deposit payment will only be refunded if you cancel the booking at least 7 full days prior to arrival.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
