I am an English professor and real estate agent, and I love hosting students. I love introducing my daughter to new people from around the world! We started hosting students in 2015 and have hosted two students from South America, one student from Germany, and one student from Saudi Arabia. We are interested in hosting other students from different parts of the world and learning your customs. My husband is originally South African and we lived in Australia together for five years. I am from New York and love to travel. Atlanta has been a wonderful city for us to settle down in with our daughter. The three of us love to go for walks, go boating, fishing, or anything water related. We love the beach and lakes! Our house is a friendly environment and we hope you enjoy your stay!

About the Area
Our house is located in Smyrna, a nice suburb just 15 minutes drive from downtown Atlanta. We are walking distance to several shops, restaurants, and two grocery stores. We have a pool and tennis courts in our neighborhood, as well as The Silver Comet Nature Trail across the road. It is a very safe and friendly neighborhood.

House Rules
Our biggest rule is respect towards everyone in the house. We have a one year old daughter, so we hope you like children and are understanding of her needs as well. We ask that you do not smoke inside our house and that you keep your bedroom and bathroom clean. We will provide the cleaning supplies for you, but it is your responsibility.

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
