Our apartment is small but well maintained. It is very cozy and clean. It is fully equipped with dishes, pots and pans, blender, coffee maker, toaster, large stove / oven and refrigerator. All linens, bath towels, body soap, shampoo and conditioner are included. Our printer is accessible over WiFi with your laptop/smart phone (we often use it to print out routes/maps and directions.

I offer TV with local channels and your room is equipped with Netflix, Amazon Prime videos via Roku streaming and free high-speed WiFi. There is no mess or clutter because we like to keep things simple. I'm an empty-nester as my only son graduated from NJIT university, found his own flat and started a new career at Tesla.

I am a 53 year old man who is very friendly, sociable and happy to host. As a former Airbnb manager I have gained lots of experience hosting (Se habla Español). It really is a home away from home and you will always be treated as family.

With plenty of local transportation just 1.5 blocks away you can travel to New York City Port Authority Bus & Subway Terminal. From there the sky is the limit as to where you can go in NYC..... 42nd Street (Times Square), Empire State Building, One World Observatory, Intrepid Air & Space Museum, Central Park, Stature Of Liberty, 9/11 Memorial & Museum, Rockefeller Center, MOMA.... the list is endless! All points in Lower, Mid & Upper Manhattan. On a nice day you can walk 25 minutes to the Port Imperial Ferry (Weehawken, NJ) which will take you to Wall Street/Pier 11 and so much more. Please visit nywaterway.com for fares, routes and schedules. Please note that the NYC Metro Card for subway/busses are not accepted on NJ Transit busses. NJ Transit passes (Flex Pass = multiple bus rides) may be purchased at Port Authority for use on any NJ Transit bus. These passes are offered at a 15% - 20% discount versus paying cash on bus.

Once you board the bus for NYC it usually takes about 30 minutes from home, depending on traffic, to reach Port Authority NY. In NYC there are a variety of transportation options to take you to the 5 boroughs of Queens, Brooklyn, Bronx, Manhattan and Staten Island. If you just want to spend some time in our local area you'll find plenty of great restaurants and shopping in the immediate vicinity (all within walking distance) of home. The NJ Light Rail is located just several blocks from here if you fancy a trip to the Newport Center Mall In Jersey City, Liberty Science Center or Liberty State Park. For folks attending events at Met Life Stadium in NJ, you're just 35 minutes from home via bus or 15 - 20 minutes by car

It was my first Homestay experience and without doubt it turned out to be one of the perfect and happy stays in NYC! I got all the support I needed in a timely and professional manner starting prior to my booking till getting Eddie's place. I was warmly welcomed by Eddie at his home. His house is super clean, organized and easy to reach from NYC with a short bus drive. Room was in a decent size, bed was super comfy and it was a relieve to sleep in such a quiet environment. It really felt like home to me. There were many shops and restaurants in walking distance ( 2-3 min.) Also, super close to the skyline where I could get beautiful pics of Manhattan and had nice walk. Walmart and Burlington stores are close by for people needing such. I got everything I needed. Eddie has such a warm personality, super friendly, helpful, caring and is a highly motivated Homestay host (recommendable!). I truly enjoyed my stay at his place. All respect for Eddie who does a great job here; a true sample of excellent hospitality! I recommend Eddie's place and I would definately come back again!!!

Hi Berna, thank you for this glowing review. You've only been gone for a few days and I already miss the Turkish Coffee. Thanks again for teaching a little about your country and cultures. It was a lot of fun

It was our first Homestay experience and we got so much more than we expected. Eddie is the most wonderful host ever. He is caring, super friendly, funny and was there whenever we had questions or needed support. He made us feel like we were the most important people during our stay. We loved the conversations, he has so many stories to share. Whenever we needed privacy he gave us the space we needed. He is always searching for some upgrades for his apartment, which is not really necessary. It was super clean, super comfy and well organized. We highly recommend to stay there. Whenever we come back to New York or New Jersey it will be the 1st address for us. It is like home far away from home :)

During my short stay in Eddie’s home, I felt so comfortable. This is because he dedicates his house to a guest entirely.

I stayed in a bigger room than he does. He furnishes all things to live, and he Keeps his house tidy anytime.

I honestly appreciate his dedication to me.

Wonderful. Just wonderful. Close to the city. The bus around the corner, drops you less than 500 meters (1800 feet) from times square. Lots of Latin food all around the neighborhood. The host, well, let's just say, Ed is great. Hospitable, warm and friendly. I will look him up, next time I head to the big apple.

When I got to LaGuardia airport I was stressed as I had no idea how I was going to get to Eddie's house as the Uber was very expensive. Eddie went out of his way to help me and find the quickest cheapest route to his place in West New York. When I got there he gave me a warm welcoming and I instantly felt at home he said "This is now your home and I'll be your guest" this was the first time someone said so to me. Throughout my stay Eddie has been very helpful and always positive, weather it was through transportation to Time square, getting food, finding places or just general things which I needed. I will NEVER forget how well he treated me. This was my first homestay and I expected the worst, but I definitely think that it can't get better than Eddie. He is always there when you need him, when you call him he answers the phone immediately, he gives you space when needed and most of all he ACTUALLY CARES about his guests or shall I say his home owners.
