About the Area
My house is located in the center of Ho Chi Minh City, District 4. It is 500m from "walking street Nguyen Hue", 1km from Bui Vien street or from Ben Thanh market. From here, you can go to District 1, District 5, District 7 and 8 easily, it's close. Your trip is easy by bus, taxi or even scouting. Around my house there are cafes, restaurants and a market where you can find good things, good traditional Vietnamese dishes.

A wonderful young family in a wonderful location. I felt very welcome staying for the week+ stay. It's away from the tourists and imbedded in the daily life of locals.
You get your own set of keys, bedroom with AC, and a private bathroom.
Things to keep in mind:
- the street you face is noisy and bright. At night, its OK, but you'll hear the occasional horn all through the night (probably not unusual for HCM). And the curtains keep out most of the light, but not all.
- the toilet is difficult to use being so close to the wall. I had to take my pants right off to use it each time.
- the bed is hard. It felt great to sleep on to be honest, but it's a hard mattress.
- there are 4 flights of steps with a low ceiling (I hit my head a number of times being 6ft).
- and breakfast isn't included
Thank you for letting me stay over my birthday. It was an incredible time.
Very nice family, nice room and very central. I recommend it!
Accueil très sympathique en français. Chambre correct mais le matelas reste trop dur pour nos vieux dos occidentaux.
Nice place to stay :-) i can gladly recommend.
Dirty room , Dirty and super small bathroom, very noisy street ! They were kind people but did not care to make the room ready for guests to stay. I left the city after one night.
Un couple super sympa, chaleureux, convivial, ils parlent très bien le français et vous aident bien pour les transports.
I really enjoyed my stay with Thi Minh Hue. It was a lovely introduction to Ho Chi Min City and Vietnam. Together with her husband I was made to feel extremely welcome and looked after. The accommodation is in district 4 where you really get the local feel of the city. It’s just a short walk to district 1 where most of the tourists stay. It was great to sit in the coffee shop and get helpful information and chat about my visit. Breakfast was bought to my room each morning which was a lovely touch. I would recommend a stay here.
They really cared a lot and were helpful and gave us some good tips where to go.
The bed, however, has a rather thin mattress.
Great, that we got our own key so we could come and go as we wanted.
Ca phe down at the coffee shop is great.
Location is good, was no problem walking a few minutes to get downtown.
If you want to see the real HCMC and not be trapped in the backpacker district, this is the perfect place. Hue was a great host. The apartment is above a coffee shop that her husband runs, so you always have good coffee in the morning. The neighborhood is perfect because it has local places to eat and it is alive at night with, but it is a close walk to the 1st district tourist center.
Both Hue and her husband were very helpful and talkative so we felt at home with them. This was the perfect location for us in HCMC, we enjoyed the walk home every night. The banh mi and pho restaurants right out front are great too in case you don't have time to look for food. Highly recommend!
Very kind and dedicated hosts, beautiful, fully equipped studio and great location in a lively area with walking distance to city center - I enjoyed my stay and already look forward to be back next time!
