About the Homestay
Hello, my name is Kohei and I am the host of this homestay location. My friend and fellow co-host is Hisa. As true locals that were raised in Osaka, we are knowledgeable about the local attractions and cuisine. We would like you to enjoy your stay in Osaka so please ask us for any recommendations if you prefer. Please note that during the weekdays we may be unavailable for such conversations but we will try our best to accommodate you.
This legally registered homestay is a 3 story house near the city centre of Osaka. It has 5 bedrooms; three of which are available for homestay. Common spaces such as the living room, kitchen, shower, and two toilets are shared. Provided amenities include a stove, refrigerator, clean towels, hair dryers, free wifi, and an exercise bike.
You can make payment with cash, PayPal, or PayPay.
This place is only about a 6 minute walk away from Juso Station of the Hankyu railway. Juso is famous for the wonderful shopping streets with a lot of excellent but reasonable restaurants. They are perfect for those who have good appetites! It is impossible to tell you what is the best, but my favorite is a wagyu barbecue restaurant. At the same time, you can also find quiet and chilling places nearby, such as Kozu Jinja shrine. When I would like to have a quiet walk, I go to a shrine or the Yodogawa riverside. A onsen(hot spring) public bath is ideal place to unwind. I cannot tell you everything here. I am sure you will get around like a local.
My dream is to spread the practice of cultural understanding throughout the world through the face-to-face interactions during a homestay. Please come and visit us in Japan. See you soon.

This guest awarded the host 4 hearts but didn’t leave any comments.
This is a great location for your stay in Osaka. We felt very welcome here and the hosts were of great help answering all our questions. There are four rooms for rent with two shared bathrooms and one shower. This was enough to make all morning/evening choirs work smoothly. The rooms have AC. This was our first experience with homestay and we are very satisfied and would not hesitate to try again in the future. Thanks for making our stay in Osaka great!
It’s an amazing place and rather convenient to the bus stop and train station. There are plenty of food stores nearby too within walking distance. The room we had was clean and tidy. The hosts are amazing, speaks good english and was very helpful to help us with our luggages to the upper level. They will add you into a whatsapp group, so if you have any queries it will be easier to reach out to them! We felt quite at home. Thank you for letting us extend our stay by a day even though it was slightly last minute. We appreciate your understanding. We are satisfied and would book this place again if we come back to osaka. ☺️
In english below
I haven't met Hisa but only his roommate Kohei, who have an understandable English.
Rules of the house are very important, then takes time to read them before reserving, they are here to avoid troubles with other guests.
Else it is more a bedroom with commun parts than a second house, but using the living room, you can sympathize easily with other guests and Kohei. Then you have to make it appends.
Kohei gaves me good advice when I asked, that's why I recommend.
Une maison très bien située, très propre et calme ! Je recommande vivement ce homestay !
It’s an accommodation. Expect not more than that.
I expected more cleaning on toilets, sink.
Expected change bed clothes once a week.
No one uses the living room, table, dishes, refrigerator, microwave.
Every day the table is full with documents, bills, lamps, more stuff to avoid guests can sit or feel welcome.
No invitation to use something.
Rubbish full, than rubish bags stored in the living room.
I got good informations before stay, but informations where to go localy was barely.
General more impersonal contact.
Not unfriendly, had no trouble.
But not my expectations.
Hisa and Kouhei were both friendly and helpful in making my stay in Jyuuso Osaka positive and memorable. Hisa’s house was very tidy and I really enjoyed the fact that it had an exercise bicycle. There are many restaurants and convenience stores within walking distance of the house. The laundromat is next door too. If you want to go to Umeda where there are larger retail stores, the Jyuuso Station of the Hankyu Railway Line is less than a ten-minute walk away. Hisa helped me broaden my knowledge of Japanese daily life by allowing me to observe his daily routines, while Kouhei helped me to find the best rout to my destinations. If you are worried about any language barriers, with Hisa you can speak to him in English if you are not comfortable speaking Japanese. Thank you so much to you both.
