Love the place, I can only speak good things about Kumiko san and her wonderful food! I was welcomed since day 1 and felt the same way throughtout my stay. Thank you so much for the awesome authentic experience, will definitely come back!!!

I didn't had the time to comment before but staying at Kumi's place was nice when I went to Japan. Discovering things thanks to Kumi was fun and she was a kind and helpful person. Thanks again Kumi for that, even after a year I didn't forgot my stay at her place ! (:

Staying with Kumi was quite the experience! I learned so much about the Japanese lifestyle, manners, and culture thanks to her. Would highly recommend staying with her.

Many sincere thanks to the host for the experience gained in getting to know better Japanese traditions and lifestyle.
Maybe I was a little bit confused at the beginning because of not so usual casual domestic surrounding, but the host’s sincerity,knowledge of traditions and goodwill helped to adapt and feel comfortable and evaluate the advantages of optimally set Japanese household.
I do recommend to stay in!

Kumiko san is a very nice host. My stay had its fair share of happiness, entertainment, great food and comfort. Overall a great place to stay. Keep it up!

Very good experience to stay together with kumiko family. We had this opportunity to have a new year food together.
Kumiko family are nice and helpful.
Thank you for bringing us to Onsen very like it so much.
Everything not sure she will guide us along. She taught us some Japanese language as well. We love it so much.七月 2018
If you want some real Japan experiance, try this family. Kumi was helping a lot to understand the japanese style of living :) It's probably the best price performance that you can get! I had much fun here and it's not to far away from center.

Kumi-San was a wonderful host and her home couldn't be any lovelier. She invites most with open arms, even when you are a challenge like myself. She helps you dive into the Japanese culture via her cooking and suggested events. Her home is located in on the outskirts of Tokyo but it is a very nice community! ❤️❤️❤️I'll definitely book again!

Living with a Japanese family was surely a very interesting start of my longer stay in Japan, and the purpose for me, learning different aspects about the Japanese culture, was indeed fulfilled at this home stay family. Summarized, I can therefore recommend anybody to try home stay when you are coming to Japan, and not being able to compare this host to other ones my guess is Kumi san is at least as good as any other host.
Staying for a slightly longer period myself at her place (2 months) I kind of had to get used to the idea that living with Kumi san is really like living with a family, not unlike back at my parents place. I think I was unconsciously expecting somewhat more privacy and distance like in a hostel, so heads up for that. (Some other guest staying at the same time as me had more trouble coping with this, and was sort of counting the days until the end). After I got used to this 'Japanese culture shock' (with the for westerners peculiar house rules) it turned out to be quite nice. The host is definitely very helpful and friendly, cooks something new every night, and whenever you and her both have the time takes you around town.
