Travelling through the USA, you realize that there is so much to discover in this great nation, from the stunning national parks of Yosemite and Yellowstone, the magical landscapes of Vermont and the Everglades in Florida to the cosmopolitan cities of New York, Houston and San Francisco to name but a few.
There is so much to pack in from all fifty states that we couldn't possibly fit it in one blog post, but here is a run down of all our tips from locals on how to make the best of it.
If you want to see the Statue of Liberty from a boat without spending a cent, take the Staten Island Ferry from Lower Manhattan to the island and back. The trip takes 30 minutes each way, goes right by the famous statue and is completely and utterly free.

The watering holes in Manhattan are among the finest in the world and it’s definitely worth taking the time to explore a few and get a feel for the different Manhattan neighbourhoods.
The most famous of the sights in New York City are almost all exclusively in Midtown Manhattan. Places like the Rockefeller Centre, Times Square, Radio City Music Hall, the Chrysler Building, MoMA and Grand Central Terminal are all located between 59th and 34th Streets.
Chicago is home to some of the world’s most famous skyscrapers, sports teams and American culinary delights. It’s also a city with some really cool neighbourhoods like Lincoln Park and Logan Square.

Fanatical baseball games, heart attack-inducing pizzas and breath taking vistas are all part and parcel of any trip to Chicago thanks to teams like the Chicago White Sox, restaurants like Lou Malnati’s, and skyscrapers like the John Hancock Centre.

As much as I love Chicago, it does have one attribute that isn’t that good for you – its food. This cosmopolitan city on the shores of Lake Michigan is famous for is famous for its hot dogs and pizzas.
San Francisco is one of the most breath-taking cities in the world. It’s also a great place to eat, largely thanks to the city’s different neighbourhoods. Here are five recommendations in five different parts of the city.
