About the Homestay
Myself, my husband and our pet dog live in a cosy family home with a warm atmosphere.
We have two rooms to offer: a large double room in our converted attic, and a lovely single room also.
My husband is a taxi driver, so we can provide taxi services to our guests when needed.
We are based in Swords, which is a wonderful village with all the amenities you could wish for!
Visitors are spoiled for choice of restaurants (any kind of cuisine you like is available), bars, and entertainment.
Pavillions Shopping Centre is just a 15-minute walk or quick bus journey away, from our home. Pavillions offers eateries, plenty of retail options, and a cinema too.
We are a 10-minute drive away from Dublin Airport.
Dublin City Centre is 40 minutes away by bus, or 30 minutes driving. The bus stop is just around the corner from our house.
Swords Castle is close by, it's a great attraction to visit!
Swords is close to the coast, and to Malahide and Portmarnock. There are delightful beaches to visit, and plenty more options for food lovers and watering holes for a few drinks.
Guests are welcome to use our kitchen to prepare meals for themselves.
We're looking forward to hearing from you and welcoming you to our home!

It has been one of the best houses I have been to. The room was very confortable, TV, perfect Wifi conection... The house was very clean and tidy. They live in a beautifull neighborhood, close to the bus station.
Bernardette is absulutely charming. Everything you can say about heris good. She looked after me very well all time, and she was very patient with my limited english she talked to me when I was home, wich was what I needed to improve it. It is a nice family, her husband told me how to move around the city... they are willing to help you all the time.
Keep me a room for the next trip please!

Really nice home and a nice person who received me. I totally recommend!
Thank you for all!
Bernadette and her family are a lovely bunch of people. You will be lucky to have a stay with them up in Swords! Bus routes are convenient and quick access to the City Center. Sophie is lovely as well too ;) Very clean home and an excellent pick for a homestay in Ireland!
This homestay hosts are very welcoming and kind. If you don't mind domestic pets and need to be within reach of the airport it is perfect. A taxi to or from the airport is only 10 euro. The city is within easy reach as well either through the normal bus routes or the express service.
Me and my girlfriend spent three months at Bernadette's house for our Erasmus in Dublin. Our experience wouldn't have been the same without Bernadette, her Family and the sweet little dog Sophie! Bernadette has always been ready to help us every time we needed. Our room was spacious and comfortable. Swords it's a great place to live in and it's well served by Dublin Bus. Totally recommend! We felt at home.
Bernadette was very welcoming and assisted us in with public transport information as well as organizing a local doctors appointment for my wife. She is a cheerful host who home is tidy and position close to the airport. Easy access to DUBLIN and Malahide if you do not have a car.
