About the Area
A lovely local neighbourhood with an arty vibe in a central but quiet location. Well located to walk around and experience all that Bristol has to offer. Great local pubs, grocers/deli, cafes, restaurants (including the Guardian award-winning Acapella, Eating Room and Banco Lounge), and cinema. Also within walking distance is PaintWorks (otherwise known as the arts quarter and home of Bocabar). You also have access to lots of great parks/greenspaces including Victoria Park, Perrets Park and Arnos Vale Cemetery.
Bristol city centre is a 15/20 minute walk or 10 minute bus journey and includes the Harbourside and charming St Nicolas Market (St Nicks), the traditional market hub of Bristol with lots of yummy food stalls and a farmers market every Wednesday.
Excellent train links - only 15/20 minute walk to Temple Meads station and city centre.
Excellent bus links - only a few minutes walk for local buses around the city and 15/20 minute walk for airport buses.
If you explore a little further you will find you aren't too far from the beautiful Somerset countryside, heading towards Bath, Glastonbury and Wells.
It's a great location for exploring Bristol, Bath and the South West.

We highly recommend to choose Kate's home for your stay in Bristol.
Thank you very very much Kate and Paul for your help and so friendly welcome !
I don't know how I can start telling you all what staying at Kate's home meant for my boyfriend and me: it was our first home in Bristol, first people met, first family that welcomed us!
Of course I can tell that the house is big and very clean, the room is warm and cozy and it has all comforts, the location is great (only 20 min walk to the centre, and three of the most beautiful parks in a few minute walk), but it won't be enough.
Kate, Paul and Ted are fantastic! They not only were a great hosts, but they also supported and practically helped us for the reasons of our visit in Bristol; They gave us good advices and recommended the most unique places to visit. They also made us discover the life of their neighborhood and together we shared excellent dinners. They are very cool and they gave us trust and freedom.
We advise you to choose Kate for your stay in Bristol: you will enjoy the calm and warmth of the house, the laughter of Ted in the morning and the nice community of the neighborhood. You will not regret it!
Kate, Paul & Ted were amazing to stay with. Had such a good weekend in Bristol.
Would highly recommend staying here. Very clean & very friendly :)
Hi, I stayed 5 days in this family. She is really welcoming and helpful. They have a nice house and the bed was good. The house is not so far than the city center, 25 min to walk but there is a bus just in front the house.
I recommand this family
What a lovely warm welcome from a friendly family! The house is charming and we felt really at home and free. The room was great, the breakfast perfect and so was the neighbourhood.
Our first time using Homestay and we couldnt have asked for anything better.
Kate, Paul and Ted were very helpful with us. They helped us a lot for visiting the city, planning our stay.
The house's location in Bristol is a bit far from the center city (20 minutes walking). Basically within 5 minutes walk of almost everything (bus, restaurants, shop for food, bank...).
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily recommend this place to anyone wishing to stay in Bristol.
