About the Area
A quiet and safe family neighbourhood, Guildwood Village is located in the east end of Toronto atop the Scarborough Bluffs. The village boasts many excellent schools, a variety of churches, a few locally owned stores and easily accessed transit.
The area was originally established around the Guild Inn, an artists refuge, back in the 1930's. In the 1950's the land was developed into a village around The Guild, now a beautiful conference hall, which remains a highlight to visitors and locals alike. The Guild Park which surrounds the conference centre overlooks Lake Ontario and is filled with architectural sculptures and wooded trails; excellent for walks and photography.
