I have spent 3 nights at Cassandra's for the St Patrick WE.
Cassandra is a very nice and welcoming person.
She pays attention to all your needs (even those you did not express yet...), does her best to make you feel at ease and is always open to talk.
She is a wonderful host and as a guest, it is so appreciable.
Her apartment is located close to Lucan, a small village located at 30 min from Dublin city by bus. The bus stop is very close. You just have to cross the road.
The room is very confortable and nicely decorated, with a view to the garden.
The breakfast is excellent and very healthy.
Cassandra loves her guests and if you like long discussions around a nice cup of tea, this is the place to be !
Thanks Cassandra for the nice WE I have spent in your sweet home.
See you very soon, I hope.
My stay in cassandra went well. She was very good host. I was apple to relax and if wanted to be on my own or have a chat whit her. Everything was perfect. No complaints. Would recomend to stay in her place.
Great place to stay, with a super host.
Just stayed for two night but felt immediately at home.
Nice room with a good bed, very good location
Great place to stay and Cassandra was a warm, welcoming and helpful host. I can thoroughly recommend this as an ideal location on the outskirts of Dublin with a regular bus from just outside straight into the city centre.
I will always have best memories of the Homestay at Cassandra. She is very versed in dealing with her guests. She has a strong feeling for their individual wishes and is very attentive.
Cassandra makes it easy for one, to get to know Dublin and the Irish people. She can help with planning the day or acquaints you with people in her enviroment.
I hat a great time and felt like at home.
I had a really nice stay at Cassandras. Also breakfast was very tasty and Cassandra was very kind and always helpful. I really liked it and can highly recommend it to others.
To all fellow guests:
I had a really wonderful time with Cassandra. She is a lovely person and we laughed a lot.
Cassandra did so much for me with and without asking and she helped a lot with all questions.
It was only short but I would highly recommend her and her home.
I am sure, I will come back on my next holiday in Ireland!
My second home, she said and this is it!
I felt really welcome and relaxed all the time.
I had a lovely stay of five weeks at Cassandra's house. During this five weeks I really felt like being home. Cassandra and I spend a lot of time talking, making trips on the weekends and even went together to the store chosing a new color for her living room. I met a lot of friends of hers who are just as friendly as Cassandra herself - so dont't be afraid to join in! The room you stay in is comfortable and cozy and you have everything you need - even a lovely view outside the window. And you have free wifi, if you want.
The connection to the city centre is good. The next bus stop with the bus taking you there is just over the street and drives every 10 to 20 minutes at the main business hours. Within 30-40 minutes - depending on the trafic in the city - you're in the centre. To all party people, the last bus from the city centre drives at half past eleven. There are late night buses in the early morning hours but it can be that you have to make a little walk through Lucan - and the fare is higher. The normal fare is around 2 to 2,60 € one way (sometimes there a cheaper special prices). The late night buses are around 5 €.
For all the people, who want to a have a nice, quite and relaxing stay, I just can recommend Lucan, it's really lovely! And most of all, I never felt unsave in this area.
Furthermore there is a also a shopping mall - with a lot of restaurants - and a cinema in Lucan. It's easy to reach by bus.
All in all I have to say, that I enjoyed my stay in Dublin and for everyone who travels alone - or travels the first time alone like me - I can just say, I'm so happy that I stayed with Cassandra, because there was never a time I did feel alone.
So enjoy your trip to Dublin - it's an amazing City! :)
Great location, amazing helpful host and comfortable apartment.
Cassandra is an amazing person. Very kind and extremely helpful. I certainly recommend to stay with her. Thx again for everything.
