I am centrally located in the heart of Forest Hills Gardens. The Long Island Railroad (15 minutes to Manhattan) is 3 blocks away. A major subway hub, the
71st/Continental station, is 2 blocks further. There are also express buses that go into Manhattan. The beauty of having these options make it easier to get to various parts of the city in good time.

Andi’s apartment is a real sanctuary in a bucolic setting. The apartment’s windows overlook a tree-filled village green. The rooms have high ceilings, lending an airy feeling to your surroundings. Bed is comfy, linens are fresh, bathroom is clean and well supplied. Everything is nearby: shopping, restaurants, cafes, transportation. Manhattan is literally 20 minutes away on the Long Island Railroad (LIRR). Andi herself is an artistic, interesting, and compassionate person who will make her guests feel truly cared for!
Chambre grande, agréable, très calme, avec salle bain privée. Andy et son petit chien sont adorables. Le quartier est enchanteur, plein de verdure et d'écureuils. Et en semaine, avec le métro express, Manhattan est à seulement 30 mn.
Big, nice room, very quiet, with ensuite bathroom. Andy and her little dog are adorable. The area is charming, full of greenery and squirrels. And during the week, with the express subway, Manhattan is only 30 minutes away.
Andi is an absolutely wonderful homestay host. Her accommodation was first class, absolutely spotlessly clean and comfortable and so close to transport, restaurants, shops and has easy access to popular sightsseing spots. She was always willing to help us with directions and suggestions of things to see and made my husband and I feel so welcome in her home. Her knowledge of directions made it easy for us to find her apartment using public transport. Her accommodation is in such a beautiful suburb yet so close to Manhattan. We would highly recommend her to anyone and she made our last week in New York an experience we will always treasure.
Andi came to our rescue when my sons and I needed a place to stay near NYC for college visits. Little did we know that the Pope was on torn the same weekend! Andi graciously not only did last-minute cleaning for accommodations, but gave us a reduced rate on two rooms, because the homestay description was somewhat misleading. Andi was in phone contact with me before we left, asking about our needs. During our stay, she was gracious, helpful, and did everything she could to help us feel at home. We had a queen bed and a luxuriously comfortable hefty queen air bed, which suited the four of us nicely. Two bathrooms, nice towels, plenty of blankets and pillows. We brought our own toiletries, which was helpful, because Andi only had baby shampoo to share. Give her credit, we really did book at the last minute, and I prefer my own shampoo anyway. Going into and out of the city was a breeze. The area where she lives is quiet and safe, very peaceful. Andi is a lovely spirit. And her dog is the absolute sweetest most incredible dog I have ever met! I highly recommend staying with Andi. My only concern was the extra tax I was charged, after the price had been calculated. I don't know if this is a problem with homestay.com in general, but it was an unexpected expense for me. Andi and I discussed it and formed it out, but this is something that needs to be addressed with any host, whether or not they are going up charge sales tax in addition to the agreed upon room rate. We had a great trip, and a delightful time connecting with Andi!
