About the Homestay
We are of a family of four, living in a spacious house with wonderful sea views. We have a large garden and a large deck, which is wonderful for meals in the sun, watching the sun sparkle on the sea. We have a cat, and a large dog (Rhodesian Ridgeback), and welcome the opportunity to share our home with overseas guests.
Howick village is near by, and has a wonderful Saturday morning market. Howick beach is 5 mins walk down the hill, and once you're done with that, there's many other gorgeous little beaches in the area.
I love to cook - and there's always biscuits or slices in the cookie tin, and usually fresh home made bread too.

About the Area
We are about 40 minutes from the airport, and about 40 minutes from the city (if you take the ferry - or go by car, avoiding rush hour!). Howick is a suburb out to the east of the central city, and doesn't get 'through-traffic'. So it's nice and quiet, with a good community feel. There are plenty of beaches close by, and regular bus's to the city, or local shopping centers.

As there are children in the house, please be quiet after 10 pm. Fell free to use the kitchen, but please clean up after. Please shut the gate, and do not invite strangers into our home; if you would like to invite a friend over just agree it with me in advance. Please enjoy your stay, and treat our house as you would your own home.
Smoking is not allowed.
I enjoyed my stay with Susan and her family, they were all friendly and helpful. The view was amazing, public transport was close by to get to Botony Shopping Centre, which is well worth a visit. The Howick village has an interesting assortment of shops as well.
Lovely warm family, knowledgeable on local matters. Would visit again.
A very welcoming family it was a pleasure being with them. Enjoyed my holiday. The bus service was brilliant no car needed an not expensive to travel. I would not hesitate to stay with Susan again.
