About the Homestay
We live in Westchester County, Mt. Vernon, NY, 25 minutes from Manhattan by Metro North.
The guest rooms are on the Second Floor, with one bathroom to share for guests only.
One bedroom has a comfortable King Size Bed with an adjacent room which has a sofa bed and accommodates 3 guests.
The second bedroom has a Queen Size Bed and a day bed, this is a large room which accommodates 3 guests very comfortable.
We have large kitchen, living room, dining room, a sun room that opens to the backyard.There is plenty of parking on the street. Fleetwood Metro North Train Station is a 5 minute drive from the house.
We have a little shih-poo , Pepper, he is an hypoallergenic dog, and he is very friendly.
Please keep our home secure and double-lock the front door when entering and leaving the house
Feel free to use the kitchen but please clean up after!
Keep noise to a minimum after 11:30 pm.
Please do not invite strangers into our home; if you would like to invite a friend over just let me know in advance.
Please enjoy your stay and treat our house as you would your own home!

About the Area
Our home is located in a quiet residential suburb area. We are near Fleetwood, New Rochelle, Pelham, Bronxville, Yonkers.
Cross County Mall and Ridge Hill Mall are very close. Downtown Fleetwood has lovely restaurants, nail salons, banks, pharmacies. City Island and Orchard Beach in the Bronx is 10 minutes away.
The proximity to New York City is so fantastic, a merely 25 train ride will take you to Grand Central Station.

Thank you for asking for our assistance before using the fireplaces or the BBQ.
Thank you for not flushing anything but the toilet paper we provide down the toilets. Please place sanitary napkins, wet-wipes, cotton-balls, etc. in the sanitary bin next to the toilet.
You are welcome to use the laundry and kitchen facilities. Please ask for an introduction to the washer before using it.
Thank you for helping keep our home clean and replacing or reimbursing us for items you consume during your stay beyond your light continental breakfast.
While we are not a full-service B&B, you're welcome to help yourself to cereal, coffee, tea, toast and milk in the morning. We don't mind you finding what you need in the kitchen. Most items are where you would expect them to be. No need to wash dishes; please pop them in the dishwasher.
We're sociable and enjoy sharing good conversation.

Please note that we require our guests to pay 50% of the booking total to us at time of booking the room, this will hold your room, final payment has to be done before arrival (Please note you have to pay and additional 15% of the total rate which is the fee to be paid to Homestay.com)
We ask our guests to give us at least 7 days’ notice for any cancellation. Any cancellation later than this will not be refunded.
I strongly recommend that you use PayPal as your payment method as it is the most straightforward and safest method of payments

This was an absolutely great homestay! The accommodation is warm, clean, roomy and comfortable in a lovely home: Sylvia and Dennis are really kind and helpful hosts, and all-around great people. They also provided healthy breakfast & nice coffee, and I felt well-cared for - as if staying with my own family. I highly recommend this homestay.
This was my first time using homestay and I couldn't have wished for better hosts. They made me feel at home and after six nights there, it was as if I was leaving part of my family !
I loved the colourful decoration of the house with its beautiful paintings. The rooms are large and comfortable. There is an asian restaurant at walking distance and a greek one as well.
Breakfast with my hosts was brilliant ! They are interested in good foods and health. They taught me a lot! Thank you Sylvia and Dennis for your hospitality, I felt blessed!
How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 199 $£€ for longer term bookings) and a 25% deposit using a choice of payments: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal. The deposit is collected in advance on behalf of the host to protect against no show or late cancellations (within 7 days of arrival). You then pay your host the balance due on arrival. The 25% deposit payment is made to the host 2 business days after your scheduled arrival date. This deposit payment will only be refunded if you cancel the booking at least 7 full days prior to arrival.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
