About the Homestay
We are a family of 4. The husband is Australian and the wife is Filipino. We have Federal Police Clearance and are QUT registered. We have 2 boys, 8 and 14 years of age. Our house is 2 level. The top and bottom levels are each fully self contained. We live in the top level and the bottom is predominantly for guest accommodation, with own entrance, common living room, bathroom and full kitchen facilities (microwave, oven, fridge, all utensils) for all guests occupying the lower level. No charge to use kitchen facilities. There are 3 guest rooms on the lower level. One double room, one room with twin beds and a single room. It is not envisaged to have all rooms occupied at the one time. We are quite close to QUT and the city. There is a shopping centre with cinema, supermarket, cafes, restaurants, etc only 5 minutes walk. Gym also close by. We are on the major bus route to the city and Kelvin Grove and buses run every few minutes. Bus stop is 1 minute walk. Train station is 10 minutes walk.

About the Area
We are located around 5km from the city. There are shops, restaurants, cafes, gym, cinema etc only 200 metres or 5 minutes walk. We are surrounded by many parks and cycleways. We are situated on a major bus route with buses running every few minutes towards the city and Kelvin Grove (QUT). The bus stop is about 50 metres away. The train station is 15 minutes walk.

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 199 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
