About the Area
Our home is conveniently 3 minutes away from the nearest bus stop and a 2 minute bus ride to the nearest subway station.
It's a quiet neighbourhood with local shops that are walking distance away such as Costco, Best buy and Michaels.
For York university students, it will take 12 minute subway.
Furthermore Yorkdale mall only is a 3 minute bus ride and 7 minutes to the nearest hospital (Humber Hospital).

EMERGENCY: If there is an emergency, please call “911.” Tell the operator whether you need POLICE, FIRE, or AMBULANCE. PLEASE KEEP SAFE AT ALL TIMES.
SAFETY: All residents share responsibility for the security of the household. It is very important that you lock the door when you exit and when you enter the house. Keep the front/back door LOCKED at all times even when there are people in the house. Also please keep the gate closed at all times after entering/exiting.
FOOTWEAR: Please remove your shoes upon entering the door and leave them in the foyer (receiving area) or bring them to your room.
VISITORS: Please don`t bring strangers into our home. If visitors cannot be avoided, they can stay for a short time in the living room (piano room). No visitors are allowed upstairs. However, study groups can be arranged; but only for study purposes
NOISE: Keep the noise reasonable in your room. Please do not blast music from your room. The whole house complies with a 10pm noise curfew. If you are bothered by noise from outside your room, please let us know.
HYDRO: Please help conserve water and electricity (hydro). We advocate conservation and helping the environment too. Turn off the lights and any other electronics, gadgets or appliances when you’re not using it
KEYS: We will provide you keys to the house and your room. You are NOT allowed to make copies or give it to anyone.
SMOKING & ALCOHOL: Smoking, drinking of alcoholic beverages or any use of recreational drugs inside the house or within the property is strictly prohibited.
PETS: No pets allowed inside.
• Your personal toiletries (toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, soap, toilet paper etc.) are provided by you. We will only provide the cleaning supplies.
• You are responsible for cleaning your room/washroom. That includes cleaning the bathtub, toilet, sink and taking out the garbage. We suggest making a cleaning schedule with the other tenant.
• Please do not wet the bathroom floor. We have had leaks in the past due to this.
LIVING ROOM: Aside from your room and use of the washroom, you are also entitled use of living room (piano area) and occasional use of the kitchen/dining area. All other areas of the house is for landlord use only.
• Kitchen use is limited to warming of food (microwave and toaster) and heating water for coffee/tea. Cooking is limited to once or twice a week. You will be given a refrigerator in your room to store your food.
• Feel free to use any cookware, cutlery, plates, and kitchenware but please clean up after yourselves.
• A light self-serve breakfast is available for an extra fee of $20 a month and is to be paid with rent. A typical breakfast normally includes cereal, bread and coffee.
LAUNDRY: You will have your own day of the week to do laundry. It can be arranged when you arrive. Detergent and fabric softener will be provided by you.
PROBLEMS or CONCERNS: Please talk to us if you have any problems or concerns. We will do the same if needed. We want you to have a pleasant experience with us.

Trisha's home is very welcoming! The house was spacious and clean and the room was super cozy. I was provided with everything I needed. I had a really great experience staying at Trisha's and her amazing family home!
How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
