Yuko and Micheal are very helpful and friendly. They were very helpful when I was trying to resolve a few last minute issues before heading into small town Japan. They live in a very convenient location very close to the station. I will definitely go back.
I had a fantastic time staying with Yuko and Michael. Flying to Japan for the rugby world cup I was delighted at the warm welcome, advice whilst I was staying with them and an insight into Japanese culture. The room was perfect for me. The accommodation is only 3-4 minutes walk to the station. Plenty of places to eat nearby from Japanese, Chinese, Western restaurants. 5 minutes walk from the local stadium, ideal if you are visiting for a sporting event. I arrived as a stranger and left as friends. An amazing experience and I would highly recommend staying with this wonderful couple.
First time doing a homestay and I would absolutely do it again. Especially with Michael and Yuko. Very fantastic set of people. Very helpful and mindful of you to make sure your trip is the best it can be. Thanks so much for everything!
Super nice people that made me feel very welcomed, nice room and the area was great for getting away from the constant rush that is Tokyo yet close enough for getting around
Wish I had stayed longer to get to know them better but have nothing but positive thoughts about them
Thanks for letting me stay with you!
I stayed one week with Michael and Yuko and had such a lovely stay. They were so sweet and kind, and very awesome to talk to. They helped me with planning my days in Tokyo and told me about some cool spots I ended up checking out and loving! This was my first experience with homestay and it was such an amazing one. I would love to come back and stay with them again in the future. I highly recommend this homestay, as it’s in a super safe neighbourhood and is a good distance from the downtown Tokyo area! Also I went during cherry blossom season and it was only a short walk from their house to see them! :)
My stay with Michael and Yuko was just perfect. Both were really friendly and had interesting things to say. A great pair of hosts.
I had a truly wonderful time with Michael and Yuko. Extremely friendly and lovely couple to stay with. 11 out of 10 would stay again :-). Thank you again for letting me Homestay with you!
Such a lovely couple. They deserve the nicest guests!
Even though Tobitakyu is very easy to reach from the city center, you can forget the hectic pace from downtown and slow down to enjoy interesting conversations with Yuko and Michael, who are always willing to help you if needed.
Can only recommend.
I'm so sorry for the late review!
I stayed with Michael and Yuko for just under a month and had a wonderful time. The location is great! Barely a minute walk from the nearest station and the shops around it. The station offers a direct route to Shinjuku for a cheap price (¥200ish), making it easy to get into the centre of Tokyo.
The room is a good size and comes with a lot of storage and a desk. Everything is clean and well kept. Michael and Yuko really went out of their way to help me whilst I was there.
I was given a key for the flat which allows for a lot of freedom and shown around the local area, so I knew where to get anything I needed.
Honestly, a 5/5 homestay for those that would like a convenient place with quick access to Tokyo's centre whilst staying in lovely, quiet area and having all necessities nearby with great company for any downtime whilst not out being a tourist! Yuko also cooked some delicious food! I would highly recommend it.
Again sorry for the late review and thank you for having me!
What started as a homestay turned into leaving friends behind. We had a good and entertaining time together, an exchange of culture, thoughts and abilities.
