About the Homestay
I live in a 175m2 apartment right in the city centre of Madrid, Spain. The building is pretty old, however, the house is modern, with all the commodities which assure you a really nice and pleasant stay. The apartment has a large living-dining room, two bathrooms, a studio, four bedrooms and a kitchen. A really cosy house in which my husband, Manolo, my teenager daughter, Laura, our dogs, Kira and Dalia, and I live happily.
Our house is right near the Royal Palace and the main turistical attractions of the city. Moreover, pretty close to our house you might find many shops, restaurants, theatres, parks, and many transportations.
My husband is a Graphic Designer, although right now is ruling the family business; my daughter, Laura, is 17 years old and loves music. I am 46 years old and work as a freelance Journalist, although I am too a teacher (I can teach English, and Spanish Lenguage and Literature).
I love cooking so, if you want, I can cook your meals. Moreover, I can teach you Spanish, if you want to some classes.
The room we have destined to our guests is not too big but is nice. It has a furniture on top of which it's the bed, and supporting it, a wardrobe and drawers. Also, there is a studio table and a chair. It has even a TV set.
The guest has to share the bathroom with our teenager daughter. For that reason, we only accept female guests.

I had a great stay at Patricia's place. Three days in a beautiful neighbourhood in the heart of Madrid. You can reach everything by walking and, if needed, there is a metro station nearby. Patricia is a kind woman, considerate, helpful, and interested in the world around her. Besides her knowledge of Madrid and Spanish history you can talk to her about movies and literature - and whatever you want else, I am sure. Patricia knows the balance of being there and still giving you a personal space which cannot be quite easy when you have a stranger in your house. I surely do recommend Patricia as a host.
If you want a true and enjoyable experience with a family this is the place for you. Patricia is a down to earth friendly and warm hostess. Her 2 dogs are just adorable. The place is very easy to get to via metro from the airport. I felt at home at her place and actually felt sad when it came time to leave. She serves a very healthy breakfast and she packed me a special lunch when it came time to leave as she knew that I would be at the airport for few hours . I highly recommend her place in Madrid
Patricia is very nice. She knows everything about Madrid. Those places that recommended are very beautiful and worth to visit in Madrid. Luckily, I can go the Sunday free market with her. She explains everything in details, clearly and easy to understand. I understand Madrid more in this stay. I have great time with her in Madrid. She is good at English. The room is absolutely clean and her house very near the metro station. Although it is very hot in Madrid, I have a very nice sleep in her place.
I had a good time with Patricia and her family.
They are very kind ,hearty and helpful.
Her house was very clean because of her daily cleaning.
And her apartment stands near the Real Palace(you can go there 3minutes on foot).
It is so convenient for travelers to take a metro,go shopping, walk around Madrid.
She served me some Spanish typical cuisines.
They were delicious !!!
I could have many experiences with her and her family.
If you go to Madrid, I recommend that you should stay at her house!!!
This guest awarded the host 5 hearts but didn’t leave any comments.
I had a fantastic experience with Patricia, I recommend her wholeheartedly to anyone visiting Madrid! To begin with, she is very welcoming and does everything she can to make you feel at home. Her house is centrally-located, spacious, and clean but also very cozy at the same time. Plus with her family and 2 dogs, the whole place has quite a homey atmosphere. More than that, she is very attentive to your needs- if you want her to show you around the city, she is more than happy to do so (and in fact she is extremely knowledgable about the museums and sites of Madrid and can recommend the best hidden secrets) but if you are more private and independent, she will totally give you your space. She is an all-around kind and comfortable person who will do her best to accommodate you and isn't the least bit awkward about anything. She is also very cultured and has tons of enthusiasm when it comes to sharing her favorite books, movies, art, etc. If you go to Madrid, staying with Patricia will make your experience THAT much better and you'll return having found a second home in Spain.
Patricia is very helpful and considerate. I did not meet her husband. The facilities and location are excellent. Patricia took me for a walk around the centre of Madrid and explained the bus/train and where the important landmarks are located. Internet access can be difficult at times. The location is perfect and the building very well maintained.
