The "junior" bedroom has no frills with a full/double-sized bed, end table/luggage rack, hangers and dresser drawers. You're welcome to use the kitchen, refrigerator, the terrace, and have a light breakfast (Nespresso coffee, tea, assorted fruits, cereal, yoghurt, and breakfast bars). You can also use the laundry facility in the basement (one free load for every three nights of stay :).

Since I live here, I'll try to be as flexible as possible on your check-in and check-out time. You're welcome to leave your luggage before check-in or after check-out.

Whenever I'm away, you would have my male housemate Mike as my "acting host" who works from the apartment during the day and sleeps on the living room futon behind privacy screens. In any case, please feel free to come and go as you please.

The building residents are very quiet and respectful of each other, so please be the same when staying here. Obviously no party, no visitors, no smoking and no drugs.

Please note that the bedroom door can only be locked from the inside but not from the outside, as we have personal belongings in the bedroom that we might need to access from time to time. So please take your valuables with you when you go out.

I used to have a dog and a cat, so there might be remnants of pet hair around the apartment. Please reconsider if you’re allergic to pet hair.

The rate for a second guest is an additional $20 per night.

My stay at Chi & Mike's home was excellent. Staying with them made my trip to New York truly amazing. They are so kind, nice and considerate. One day, I had an upset stomach and they gave me some medicine and congee (Taiwanese's porridge) to make me feel better. (It really helped a lot!)
Also, Chi lent me her ice skates so that I had a great time ice skating in Bryant Park. That was the best thing I've done in New York! They made my days in New York.
They gave me breakfast(toast, boiled eggs, yogurt and tea :)) every morning and we had lovely conversations over breakfast. The room is perfectly tidy, neat and clean, of course. I could control the temperature so that I could stay warm in my room. It is located in good neighborhood, close to bus stops, subway station and even central park (about a 15 minute walk away).
I will miss them and stay with them again if I go to New York. I'd love to recommend that my friend traveling to New York to stay at their house! Thank you for hosting me and making my days, Chi and Mike! Hope to meet you again this summer <3

How do I book?

Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.

When do I pay?

You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
